All core executives (President, Treasurer and Secretary) are legally responsible for the management of their society. It is mandatory that your entire executive team attend training sessions and are aware of their full roles and responsibilities.
The following training is required and compulsory for all executives:
- Complete the Online Module on Responding to Sexual Assault and Harassment (available through your Clubs Resources page on MyUSU) unless that executive has applied for an exemption by emailing wellbeing@usu.edu.au. A reason does not need to be given when requesting an exemption. Exemptions are available to those who may find this content distressing or triggering.
- Complete the Engaging with the Student Charter Canvas training (available through your Clubs Resources page on MyUSU)
- Executives are required to be aware of and comply with the policies and guidelines provided by USU and so should read through these documents, available on the Clubs Resources as part of self-directed training
All executives are encouraged to access further student leader training opportunities including Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid. Detailed information can be found in the Student Leader Training Info Sheet.
In cases where Clubs are holding high risk events, identified by either the club itself or the Clubs Team, executives will be required to show evidence of having completed these trainings. Executives should upload certificates of completion onto their executive profile on the Clubs Portal, to be approved by the Clubs Team.
Please note that if your Club does not have enough certifications, the Clubs Team may reject your event due insufficient training.
